Finally, the elusive Heroine!
Guys the struggle to get this lipstick was real. After calling both MAC stores in Lagos about a million times and getting "huh? heroine? err we don't have it" over and over and checking several online vendors with no luck I got fed up and added it to my list of "to buy lipsticks" fast forward to some months later, I had my brother buy me some lipsticks and got a call saying he couldn't find Heroine anywhere. I was annoyed. what was so special about this lipstick sef hiss! my shakara didn't last long though cause I had my dad hunting it down a month later! Lol this time around I got lucky!
I like the colour but honestly, I don't know if it is worth all the hype. Someone even described the colour as "gentian violet" LOL!
Either way, the addict in me is happy to have it in my collection.

I have Heroine. I like it. I have pigmented lips so i work around it with something lighter underneath so it would pop. Great with the heroine lipliner, currant and even nightmoth (All by MAC).
ReplyDeleteI've had my eye on nightmoth for a while but since I don't even put the liners I have to use often I'm holding out. I paired Heroine with Purple rain (NYX) and it turned out ok. I will use Prune next time and see which I prefer.

I love that shade of purple.been trying to hunt for a cheaper dupe of it but no success so I mite jst take d leap n purchase it.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheechee, I wore Heroine again today and I'm falling more in love with it. It's not as drying as 'viva glam I' I've read that Maybelline 'Violet intrique' is a possible dupe for Heroine so keep an eye out for it. Or take the leap! I get a lot of compliments when I wear Heroine.

Lol...I have been on the hunt for Heroine but I haven't found it yet. The MAC stores here, all their products are out of stock. So annoying. I don't even bother anymore. I guess I'll have to go through your route. It looks so pigmented and such a pretty purple.
