Long time no 'Scent du jour' post since I've been loving Manifesto so much I decided to share my thoughts with you guys :)
Aesthetic
I actually got this because of the bottle. It was a choice between this and another perfume and I chose this. I hadn't smelt it but I was in love with the bottle. That's how pretty I think this perfume is...
Fragrance
Manifesto opens with top notes of Blackcurrant, Bergamot, Cassis and Green notes with heart notes of Jasmin Sambac and Lily of the valley closing with base notes of Sandalwood, Vanilla and Tonka Bean
Love or Loathe
I love this perfume (huge sigh of relief) it's so me! I don't know if you've noticed but I have been a bit partial to 'sweet' fragrances for a while. I enjoy all the layers of this perfume from the sweetness of the heady dose of Vanilla to the floral accents of the Jasmine and Lily of the valley and the fruitiness of the Blackcurrant. This fragrance is very sweet smelling so if that's not your thing then definitely skip this.
Sillage on me is great as it lasts and lasts even at the end of the day this perfume still lingers....

Almost got this at one time...it was between this and Black Opium. My friend eventually got it and I finally got to smell it. Not in love but definitely a good one. These days I find that finding an awesome fragrance for me is such a struggle. Either something is wrong with my sense of smell or there's a lot less creativity put into making fragrances.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on finding an 'awesome' fragrance. Now, as long as it smells nice and lasts long I'm good. Lol.... I've given up on my mission to find a 'signature' scent - at least for now.
