#BUYNIGERIAN | FASHION FAVOURITES

Hey guys!
I am always championing the buy Nigerian movement heck I'm practically a poster child for the "cause" so I thought I would share some of my favourite Nigerian (fashion) brands because this buy Nigerian journey can be a bit dicey. I have had good and bad experiences as is to be expected... Today I will be talking about the good brands I've discovered.

Ps, This post was totally inspired by the illustration above.

Zashadu
It's no secret that I am a fan of this brand and it's not just because the bags are cute - which they are but I keep coming back for more because of the craftsmanship, the quality and the presentation. I am a sucker for presentation and Zashadu delivers on that, from the dust bag provided to the care card neatly tucked in the inner pocket of the bag. When it comes to quality what's the difference between this and my other high end (more expensive) bags? nothing!  plus sometimes you are able to snag a one off piece... Like, you are the only one in the world with that bag! does anyone else get excited by such or am I just weird?

Raya
Raya has a special place in my heart... I stan so hard for this brand you would think I was a shareholder - I am not. I am just a jewellery lover especially if it's statement jewellery which Raya delivers on EVERYTIME I am not the most adventurous with my clothing but jewellery? I am front and centre the more statement it is the better for me. Apart from the offering of statement pieces, Raya is another brand that scores 100% in terms of packaging and presentation. I am also able to snag one off pieces if I am fast enough and we already know how I feel about one off pieces. My tower of yellow boxes is growing steadily and I am almost always wearing Raya these days.

Ivy Barber

I don't know if it's me but before I discovered Ivy Barber, I had never owned made in Nigeria footwear that I was happy with tbh I only had one pair of made in Nigeria footwear and they definitely had issues. Since discovering Ivy barber, I have acquired a few pairs and everytime I wear them I get compliments. Their pieces are neatly made and comfortable plus you can work with them to come up with something to suit your style. they also do male slides/sandals so you can totally do His and Hers slides or sandals *insert cheesy grin*.

I think i will make this a series and keep you guys updated as I discover new brand loves.

Are there any Nigerian brands you love that always deliver? share in the comment section!

Genevieve
